At Island Style Catering we strive to have your food ready to be picked up at the time requested. However, we do have a 15-minute window either side of your pick-up time. Your food may not be available for pick up if you arrive earlier than your scheduled time. This is to ensure all orders can be accommodated and that your order is as fresh as possible.
We do not deliver food – all orders are pick-up only.
If you need to reschedule a pickup, this can be accommodated, however if the change is within five business days before you order date, a rescheduling fee of $15 will be added to your final payment.
Changes to orders that occur with less than five business days before the order date may result in additional charges of at least $15, if these changes can be accommodated. Also note that the charges may be more if there are additional costs to procure more products to accommodate increases in quantities.
The 40% deposit you paid at time of order is non-refundable and will act as the cancellation fee.
Because we are NOT an “Allergen free” cooking facility (kitchen) there is the possible risk of cross-contact with foods that cause allergies. Our food may contain or come into contact with common allergens; such as dairy, eggs, wheat/gluten, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, fish or shellfish, etc. While we take steps to minimize risk and safely handle the foods that contain potential allergens, please be advised that cross contamination may occur, as factors beyond our reasonable control may alter the formulations of the food we serve, or manufacturers may change their formulations of the commercial foods we use at any time, without notice. Customers concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. Island Style will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed.
After pickup, it’s the customer’s responsibility to handle food safely. Bacteria can multiply rapidly in food left in the “danger zone” between 40°F and 140°F.
TRANSPORTATION: During transport, use sealed containers to prevent spillage and to maintain the desired temperature.
HOT FOODS: Keep hot foods at or above 140°F. Hot foods that are left below 140°F for more than two hours may become unsafe. Store hot foods in chafing pans or food warmers.
COLD FOODS: Keep cold foods at or below 40°F. Cold foods that are left above 40°F for over two hours may become unsafe. Store cold foods in the fridge or keep them in a container mostly submerged in ice.
If food remains out of temperature control for over two hours, discard any leftovers to prevent potential safety risks.
